Description
KBO1 single block with textile shackle
The KBO is our range of versatile blocks. All models are fixed with textile shackles (supplied except KBO50). The KBO is available in single, double or triple from KBO1 to KBO8 and then only in single from KBO10 to KBO50. The textile shackle never gets stuck due to working load or time. The passage of the textile shackle through the center of the block retains the rope even if the block is damaged. Navigate lightly and safely !

Features
Features
Strengths:
- Quick fixing with the supplied textile shackle
- At equal workload, a textile shackle is much lighter than a stainless steel shackle
- Easy opening even after several years of use. No need for a shackle remover. No lost axis.
- No stainless steel shackle = no metal-to-metal squeaking and no rust drips.
- Simplicity : The shackle guide simplifies installation and use
- Lightweight : The optimization of design and materials make the KBO pulley an extremely compact and reliable pulley
- The KBO pulley incorporates side balls (from KBO8) and central rollers. The friction coefficient is minimum
- KBO1 to KBO8 = flanges in fiber-reinforced composite materials
- KBO10 to KBO50 = flanges in aluminum
K Tips:
- If you want to use a KBO block as a replacement for a competing block, check the working load of the block you are replacing.
- Our blocks are much more compact and much lighter than our competitors. Check the maximum rope diameter allowed. At the same working load, we sometimes have narrower rope passages.
- We are often asked the question of the interest of a block compared to a friction ring. The answer is kinda in the question. A friction ring or block (even a weak one) has more friction than a block with a bearing. More friction = more effort to take tension = less performance. In fact, a friction ring does not cause a major problem when there are a few centimeters of line to recover but becomes totally counterproductive when it comes to recovering several meters. We often take the simple comparison of a crate (even empty) with or without wheels. The relevance of the expenditure of the casters depends directly on the distance to be covered⦠and / or the physical condition of the person pushing !
