How to Care for Your MAURIPRO MX5 Gear

Keeping your MAURIPRO sailing gear clean is crucial to maintaining its performance. Dirt and sweat can reduce water resistance and overall durability. Follow these care instructions to extend the life of your jacket and trousers.

When Should You Wash Your MAURIPRO MX5?

Inspect the inside collar for dirt, grime, and sweat stains. Check the trousers for contaminants like oil or grease. We recommend washing your gear at least once per season. However, if you use it frequently, clean it more often to maintain its performance.

Washing Instructions

1. Empty, close, and loosen:

   Ensure all pockets are empty, close all zippers and flaps, and loosen drawstrings before washing. For heavy stains, avoid using harsh stain removers. Instead, gently rub a small amount of liquid detergent into the affected areas before placing them in the wash.

2. Wash:

   For best results, wash one or two items at a time with a small amount of liquid detergent (around 30ml or 1 ounce). Set the machine to a normal cycle at 105°F (40°C). Ensure the garment is rinsed thoroughly to remove detergent residue. Rinse twice if necessary, and use a low spin setting to reduce creasing.

3. Dry:

   Line drying is recommended to preserve the fabric and reduce environmental impact. If using a dryer, select a warm, normal cycle.
